Lola Gean Freeman, age 78, of Mount Judea, Arkansas went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 4, 2025.

The daughter of Wilburn and Allie (Bolin) Coonts was born in Mount Judea on January 12, 1946. She was a lifelong resident of Newton County and had faithfully attended Bethlehem Church for many years.

Lola was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She had devoted her life to Jesus and loved the Lord. Lola loved going to church and visiting with people, talking about Jesus.

She was always ready to load up and go, whether it be shopping or traveling places. She loved seeing new places and experiencing all road trips.

Family meant everything to Lola. Family gatherings and having everyone eating, visiting, and being with her made her so happy. Playing with her grands brought her so much joy. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Laken Jean Holt; brother, David Arlis Coonts; sister, Charlotte Gibson; and sisters-in-law, Mary Coonts and Donnita Coonts.

Lola is survived by her husband of 58 years, Earl Freeman; three children and their spouses, Leona and Brad Anderson, Melissa and Jimmy Holt, and E.J. and Vestina Freeman; five grandchildren, Andy (Summer), Ali (Colten), Logan, Eason, and Elliott; one great grandchild, Remi; five brothers, Kenneth Coonts (Peggy), Roy Coonts, Glenn Coonts (Sherri), Dale Coonts (Iva), and Lexie Coonts; brother-in-law, Rick Gibson; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many dear friends.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 8 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.

Funeral service will be at 1 PM, Thursday, January 9 (2025) at Church on the Rock in Mount Judea with Bro. Steven Holt officiating. Burial will follow at Sexton Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Logan Holt, Jimmy Holt, Brad Anderson, Colten Cummings, Andy Davidson, and Randy Martin.
