Lois June Paul, age 89, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, November 18, 2024.
The daughter of Robert Morgan Dickey and Anna Syntha (Threet) Dickey was born June 25, 1935 in Lowery, Arkansas. She lived in this area most of her life and a member of Bellefonte Baptist Church.
Lois June was a homemaker and a dairy farmer. She and her late husband of 66 years, Ray Denton Paul, worked together raising 4 kids and running a dairy farm. They milked cows for 30 years, with as many as 100 cows at times. She was the bookkeeper for the farm and excellent at math. Lois June also worked for 17 years in admissions at NARMC.
She loved gardening, canning vegetables, and cooking for her big family. Lois June also enjoyed quilting, crocheting, and watching murder/mystery and detective shows. More than anything, she loved her family…and her cats. She was a loving, supportive wife, mother, and grandmother. She and Ray both worked hard to teach their kids and grandkids how to be hard workers and enjoy life. She was deeply loved by all who knew her and will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ray Paul, a brother, Tom Dickey, sister-in-law, Mary Dickey; brother-in-law, Waylon "Polly" Duvall, and sister-in-law, Mattie Lou Walker.
Lois June is survived by her four children, Dennis Ray Paul (Sandra), Marie Bray (Sam), Phillip Paul (Cathie), and Cindy Lawrence (Frank); a brother, Robert "Bob" Dickey (Shirley); and a sister, Mary Alice Duvall; brother-in-law, James Walker; eleven grandchildren, Edward Paul, James Paul, Jason Wingo (Amber), Josh Wingo (Midon), Leslie Pickel (Gabe), Ben Bray (Kelly), Kim Bray (Bobby Counce), Ashley Simpson (Will), Wesley Paul (Laura), Chase Lawrence, and Robert Lawrence; seventeen great grandchildren and one on the way; and several nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends.
Funeral service will be at 11 AM, Saturday, November 23 (2024) at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bill Howse officiating. Burial will follow at White Church Cemetery.
Open visitation will be from 8 AM to 5 PM Friday at Coffman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Kim Bray, Chase Lawrence, Robert Lawrence, Ben Bray, Will Simpson, Wesley Paul, and Ashley Simpson.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to her caregiver, Brenda Crow, for the last 10 months, for the love and care she has provided to their mother. The family also wishes to thank Hospice of the Hills, for the compassionate care given to their mother.
