Lois Fay Hopper, age 93, passed away at Mercy Hospital, Rogers, Arkansas, on November 7, 2022, following a brief illness.

Lois was born June 20, 1929, in Pindall, Arkansas to John Oscar and Viola Flora Kilburn. As a child she developed a life-long love of reading and education. She graduated in 1946 from Western Grove High School where she was class valedictorian. On February 1, 1947, she married Doyle Hopper, and they made their home in Harrison, Arkansas.

One of the highlights of her life was her nursing career. After having been an LPN for many years at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center, she enrolled in college at age fifty and graduated as the top student in her RN nursing class.

In 2005, she moved to Rogers, Arkansas to be near her family, where she also enjoyed making new friends. As a Christian, she worshiped every Sunday at a service next door to her apartment complex.

Lois is survived by Ron, her son; Dustin, her grandson; and by Betty Hopper, who she considered her daughter.  Additionally, she is survived by two sisters, Betty Ruff and Sue Doss; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother and father, her husband, three sisters, Willie, Bobbie, Audie and three brothers Jim, Floyd, and Leon.

Graveside services will be held at Western Grove Cemetery in Western Grove, Arkansas on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 1:00 PM.  Visitation will be Thursday from 9 AM to 1130 AM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
