Obituary

Lois V. Gibbons, age 91 of Western Grove, passed away Friday, April 27, 2007 at Hillcrest Nursing Center in Harrison. The daughter of Ira and Lucy (Hamilton) Gentry, was born Oct. 1, 1915 at Pindall, Arkansas. She had lived most of her life in Searcy and Newton Counties, was a member of the Church of Christ, and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Gibbons; 4 brothers, Earn, Roy, Tom, and Allen Gentry; 4 sisters, Ora Moore, Josie Henson, Hattie Brown, and Flosie Hunter; 1 grandson, Randy Wyatt, and 4 great grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Nathan Gibbons and wife, Carol of Ava, Missouri; two daughters, Pat Wyatt and husband, Dave and Joann Wyatt and husband, J. G. all of Western Grove, AR; two sisters, Ruth Hurd of Burns, Oregon and Elsie Spillman of Harrison; eight grandchildren and spouses, Rene' Lowery, Timothy Wyatt, Chris and Cindy Wyatt, Diane and Leo Dye, Carey and Patsy Wyatt, Angela and Richard Bower, Crystal and David Wilson, and Victor Gibbons; 28 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was Monday at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison and funeral services were Tuesday, May 1st at Holder Chapel in Western Grove. Burial followed in Western Grove Cemetery. Leo Dye officiated. Grandsons served as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers were the Hillcrest Home staff.
