Lois Daniel, 98, passed away at Russellville Nursing and Rehab Center on Friday, October 18, 2024.

The daughter of Jeff Gabriel and Sylvia (Beverage) Gabriel was born on September 22, 1926 in Appleton, Arkansas.

Lois was a member of the Lurton Assembly of God Church for many years and was a member of the church group called the Lady Bugs.

She enjoyed gardening and helping with the Harvest Festival each year.  She was well known for her Frito-Chili Boats that she made every weekend for church.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, S.L. Wilson Barker; her second husband, Earnest Daniel; and her grandson, Wilbur Keen Jr.

Lois is survived by her son, Larry Barker of Lurton, AR; her daughters, Brenda Joline Keen and her husband Wilbur of Katy, TX, and Sheila Barker of Russellville, AR; her sister, Shirly Bunting of Lubick, TX; 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at the Lurton Assembly of God Church with Pastor Stan Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Tarlton Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Isaiah Heffley, Clayton Heffley, Aaron Wade, Justin Campbell, Roger Hampton, Josh Hampton, and Larry Barker Jr.
