Lloyd A. Hudson, age 82 of Western Grove, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri.
The son of James Arthur and Winnie (Scott) Hudson was born October 15, 1931 in New Albany, Mississippi.
Lloyd was in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of White Oak Missionary Baptist Church in Griffithville, Arkansas for over 40 years where he was a Deacon. He currently was a member of Church 180 in Harrison. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He worked at Centex Construction in Illinois for many years and was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Easter, Mildred and Dorothy; brothers, Louis and Wayne; son-in-law, Wayne Dean; and nephew, Steve.
Survivors are his wife of 55 years, Betty Ruth (Martin) Hudson of the home; children, Debbie Day and husband David of Western Grove, Bobby Hudson and wife Susan of Pangburn, Jerry Hudson of Kensett, and Mary Hudson of Searcy; "adopted grandson", Calvin Walker of Golden, Missouri; sisters, Vivian Wright of Griffithville and Carolyn Hudson of Denver, Colorado; eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Friday, October 3, 2014 at Coffman Funeral Home.
Funeral service was Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Rick Brisco officiating.
Burial followed in Western Grove Cemetery with pallbearers being Keith Pettit, Charlie Creamer, Don Fraser, Clayton Jenkins, Alan Bright, and Calvin Walker.
