Obituary

Linous Smith, age 70 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison.

The son of Homer and Elsie (Farmer) Smith, he was born May 14, 1938 at Vendor, Arkansas.

He had been a lifelong resident of this area and was a truck driver for Claridge Products.
He was of the Asembly of God faith.

Linous enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

His parents preceded him in death, along with two brothers, James and Clifford Smith.

Survivors are his wife, Ida (Burdine) Smith of the home; two sons, Stacey Smith and his wife, Lisa of Wayton, Arkansas and Jeffrey Smith and his wife, Tara of Farmington, Arkansas; four brothers, Vernon Smith, Clinton Smith, Charles Smith, and Bobby Joe Smith, all of Batavia, Arkansas; two sisters, Alta Watson and Darlene Kilgore, also of Batavia, Arkansas; and four grandchildren, Trevor, Dalton, Sydney, and Todd Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Friday, February 27, 2009 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Services will be 1 P.M. Saturday, February 28, 2009 at the funeral home chapel with Bro. Tollie Sutterfield and Bro. Ed Laroe officiating.

Burial will follow in Maple Leaf Cemetery in Harrison. Pallbearers are R. L. Burdine, Ricky Smith, J.D. Smith, Roger Smith, Eldon Watson, and Johnny Creekmore. Honorary pallbearers are Trevor Smith, Dalton Smith, Sydney Smith, and Todd Smith.
