Linda Sue Martin, age 66 of Blue Springs, Missouri passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014 in Independence, Missouri. She was born January 1, 1948 in Harrison, Arkansas the daughter of Garrett and Florene (Eddings) Martin. She was of the Catholic faith. She worked in medical billing. She enjoyed crafts, sewing, gardening, antiquing, repurposed things, and spending time with family and her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father. Survivors are her sons, Danny Mata and wife Melissa of Blue Springs and Alejandro Mata and wife Angela of Kansas City, Missouri; daughter, Cecilia Mata of Blue Springs; mother, Florene Miele and husband Anthony of Overland Park, Kansas; sisters, Shirley Smith of Parkville, Missouri and Kathey Atkinson and husband Jim of Lone Jack, Missouri; grandchildren, Ashley Mata, Heather Mata, Cecilia G. Mata, Alexandra D. Mata, and Lyndsey Turley; and a great-granddaughter, Isabel Milligan. Services were Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Piercetown Holiness Church. Visitaton wqs one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial  followed in Smith Cemetery at Vendor with pallbearers being Danny Mata, Alejandro Mata, Steve LeVota, Chris Smith, Russell Dickerson, and Bob Flud.
