Linda Carter, 66 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away alongside her husband, Johnnie Carter in Highland, Arkansas on June 19, 2019 in a motorcycle accident.
The daughter of Garlin and Bernice (Martin) Earwood was born July 5, 1952 at Mount Judea, Arkansas. She was a lifelong resident of Newton and Boone Counties and a member of Bellefonte Baptist Church. She attended Mount Judea School and was an employee of Emerson Electric/White Rodgers for over 20 years and had also worked at Levi Strauss and Boone County Special Services.
Linda was strong willed, stubborn woman with a heart of gold, that would do anything for anyone. She volunteered countless hours with Children's Charity Ministry and also sewed lap blankets for veterans and cancer patients and crocheted hats for babies with cancer.
She enjoyed sewing, cooking, collecting cookbooks and traveling with her husband of 30 years. She and Johnnie rode many miles together on their motorcycle, it was a hobby they both loved and time they looked forward to sharing.
Linda was a wonderful mother, grandmother and sister. She loved her family with all her heart and was truly born to be a mother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Herman Earwood and sister, Evalene Smith.
Linda is survived by her children, Kevin Don Case (Chrystal) of Harrison, Misty Dawn Henrikson of Harrison and Jennifer Carter Stewart of Bergman; her siblings, Jeri Sue Douglas (George) of WA, Leon Earwood (Joann) of Springfield, MO, Glen Earwood (Gloria) of Crawfordville, FL, Bobby Earwood (Brenda) of Harrison, Paul Davy Earwood (Karen) of Delaware, AR, Kathy Redding (Glenn) of Harrison, Robin Lane of Harrison and Tommy Earwood (Cindy) of Harrison; a sister-in-law, Nima Gean Earwood of Western Grove, and a brother-in-law, Kenny Carter (Tammy) of Lexington, AL; 10 grandchildren, Jordan, Jasmine, Austin, Samantha, Johnny Ray and Kassie Case, Damien Stewart, Carter Dunn, Mackenzie Williams and Alexus Henrikson; 4 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends who loved her and will miss her.
Funeral services for Linda and Johnnie will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, June 24, 2019 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Harrison with Pastor Derwin Martin and Pastor Marvin Emmons. Burial will follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2-5 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Family and Friends. Honorary Pallbearers are members of CCM.
