Lester C. LaFollette, Jr., of Alpena, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at his home. He was 81 years old.

The son of Lester C. LaFollette, Sr. and Enola Hester (Burgess) LaFollette was born on February 27, 1941 in Yakima, Washington.

Lester was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of the Jehovah's Witness. Lester loved horseback riding, fishing, and driving his team of mules.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ruby Lee; sister-in-law, June; great grandson, Zander Jetton; and one nephew, Bo McGill.

Survivors include his wife, Patsy A. LaFollette; one son, Lester C. "Skip" LaFollette, III; four daughters, Elaine Renee Snyder, Nancy Jo Besse and husband, Gary, Annamarie Von Randolph and husband, Wayne, and Danielle Von Wilson and husband, Steve; three brothers, James LaFollette and wife, Sue, John LaFollette and wife, Joyce, and Jeremy LaFollette; one sister, Roseable Heibiesen and husband, David; 11 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.
