Lester D. Hale, age 83 of Harrison, passed away Sat. March 29, 2008 at the Hospice House in Harrison. He was born Dec. 11, 1924 in Des Arc, AR to the late George and Annie (Anderson) Hale. Lester was a supervisor for General Motors Corporation and was a logger. He was of the Baptist Faith.

He was preceded in death by his late wife, Louise Hale; one son, Donnie Hale; three brothers, Ervin, Arlie and Gerald Hale; and two granddaughters, Kimberly Hale and Amanda Hale.

He leaves to cherish his memory, sons, Lester Hale of Balboa Beach, CA and Ronnie Hale of Lead Hill; daughters, Margaret Leonard of Atlanta, GA, Marsha Casteen of Lewisville, TX and Ruby Ellis of Clarendon, AR; two siblings, Dub Hale of Searcy, AR and Ruby Cobb of Memphis, TN; 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

The family would like to respectfully acknowledge Ethna Sullins, who was a friend and companion to Lester for the last ten years.

Visitation was Monday, March 31, 2008 at Coffman Funeral Home. Funeral service was held at the funeral home Chapel with burial the following day in Freck Cemetery. Joey Reed officiated the service.

Lester will be greatly missed by family and friends.
