Leroy Carter Jr., age 72 of Jasper, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026.

The son of Leroy Sr. and Ruby (Mefford) Carter was born April 21, 1953, in Harrison, Arkansas.

Leroy worked as a skilled auto body mechanic for over 30 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Martha Mae Carter.

Leroy is survived by his son, Jake Carter of Jasper, AR; his daughters, Monica and husband Elan Gunelic of Fayetteville, AR and Heather and husband Jessie Cranford of Harrison, AR; his sister, Pamela Carter of Jasper, AR; and his five grandchildren, Korban Campbell, Garrett McDonald, Caleb Carter, Madison Campbell, and Clayton Jacob Carter.

The funeral service will be 2:00 PM on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper. Burial will follow in Jasper Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 on Monday before the service.

Pallbearers will be Ronald Chasteen, Elan Gunelic, Joseph Carter, Korban Campbell, Garrett McDonald, and Clayton Jacob Carter.

Honorary pallbearers are Caleb Carter, Jessie Cranford, all of his aunts and uncles, and his special aunt Wanda Swafford.
