Leo Jacob Taylor, Jr., of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri at the age of 77.

The son of Leo J. Taylor, Sr., and Lillie Faye (Decker) Taylor was born in McKinney, Texas on May 9, 1944.  He moved to Harrison 7 years ago from Leonard, Texas.  While living in Texas, Leo was a career fireman, serving the Dallas Fire Department from 1964-1996.  He was the engine driver and retired from Station 39.

He enjoyed going to the lake, fishing, Colorado vacations and jeep trails.  He loved watching Westerns and Paranormal Activities on TV.  Leo took great joy in pestering his kids, grandkids and friends.  The last 7 years he spent in Arkansas, he loved spending time with his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Gloria Taylor, a brother, Mark and an infant daughter, Tracy Denise.

Leo is survived by his children, Jeffery Lee Taylor (Margarita), Gary Edward Taylor (Toye) and Laura Michelle Taylor (Guy) and Janette Dawn Taylor (Anna); brothers, Darrell Taylor and Troy Donovan Taylor (Carrie); sisters, Melba Kinney (Doug), Joyce McDaniel (Dewey), Carol Sandifer (Jim) and Patricia Shotwell (Jack); nine grandchildren, Crista, Rachel, Amanda, Olivia, Jennifer, Storm, Tracylin, Kirsten and Sawyer; 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at Maple Leaf Cemetery with Pastor David Shekels officiating.

Pallbearers are Jeffery Taylor, Storm Taylor, Gary Edward Taylor, Brock McFarland, Kevin Sandifer and Christian Greenwood.

Honorary pallbearers are Tristen Fields, Joshua Earl and Curtis Rivera.

Visitation will be Monday from 6 PM - 8 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
