Leo
Saylors
Feb 23, 1948 — Jun 24, 2026
Bergman
Leo Saylors, age 78, of Bergman, Arkansas, passed away with his wife and sons by his side on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.
Born February 23, 1948, in Monarch, Arkansas to Walter and Myrtle (Foresee) Saylors, Leo was the youngest of 10 children. He was a 1966 graduate of Lead Hill High School and a lifelong resident of Boone County. He was also a US Navy Veteran.
Leo’s hobby was working. He was a licensed contractor and spent over 30 years building commercial and residential buildings in the area. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing and working with bird dogs. He loved to spend time with his grandkids, especially “JJ”.
Leo was fiercely overprotective when it came to his family and a little on the stubborn side. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He worked hard to provide for his family and take care of them. He was deeply loved by his family and he will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and a sister.
Leo is survived by his wife of 57 years, Katie Saylors; two sons, Donro Saylors and Joseph Leo Saylors; sister, Mary Lou Stout; 3 grandchildren, Rebecca, Stevin, and Joseph Leo Saylors, Jr. “JJ”; 2 great grandchildren, Tatum and Schevy; 3 special nephews, Rick, Rusty, and Otto Saylors; and several other nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many dear friends.
Open Visitation will be held from 9 AM to 4 PM on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Graveside services will be at 10 AM, Tuesday, June 30 at Milum Cemetery in Lead Hill. Pastor David Zirkle and Sharon Spencer will officiate. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
