Obituary

Leo Dorrell, 78, of Omaha, Arkansas, passed away unexpectedly on July 28, 2025. He was born in Arkansas in 1946 and spent his life dedicated to both his country and his family.

Leo proudly served in the United States Navy for 20 years, retiring as a Master Chief Master at Arms. After his service, he continued to serve others through his work in the logging industry until his retirement. He was also a proud and dedicated Master Mason, a member of the Freemasons, reflecting his deep commitment to the values of brotherhood, integrity, and charity.

Leo was a loving husband to his wife, Linda Dorrell, and a devoted father to Tawnya Vogel (husband, Ed Vogel), Leo Dorrell (wife, Jolene Dorrell), Laniece Wolfe (husband, Tim Wolfe), and Mason Dorrell (wife, Kassidy Dorrell). His legacy also lives on through his grandchildren: Eddie Vogel, Liberty and Faith Dorrell, Hope Wolfe, and Harper and Reeve Dorrell. He is survived by his sister, Frankie Roubidoux (husband, Ray Roubidoux), as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Leo was passionate about woodworking and cherished time spent with his family. He was known for his gift of gab, always ready with a story, a joke, or a friendly conversation that could make anyone feel welcome. His warm presence, sharp wit, and unwavering dedication to those he loved will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held in his honor on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison, Arkansas with Gene Warren officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Leo's life and the impact he made on everyone he encountered. Graveside services with Military Honors and Masonic Rites will follow at Omaha Cemetery under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home.

There is no visitation.

Pallbearers are Leo Dorrell, Mason Dorrell, Ed Vogel, Eddie Vogel, Hank Vann, Randy Eddings, Michael McQueary, and Tim Wolfe.

Honorary pallbearers are Michael Dixon, Jeff Dixon, Gage Dixon, Charles Dixon, Mark Pittington, and Ray Roubidoux.
