Lela Doris Liggett, age 94, passed away Friday, September 18, 2026, at her home in Golden, MO.

The daughter of Delbert Brown, Mildred Lane Brown Laughter, and Willie Laughter was born July 24, 1932, in Nail, AR.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents; spouse, Blaine Liggett; son, T.W. Liggett; daughter-in-law, Marilyn Liggett; brother, Emerson Brown; sisters, Mary Jo Tonniges and Martha Lou Brown; and her brothers-in-law, Argus Ray Lewis and Rodney Tonniges.

Doris enjoyed quilting and collecting antiques.

Doris is survived by her sons, Terry Franklin Liggett of Golden, MO, and Anthony B. Liggett of Golden, MO; her brother Dorlon Brown and his wife Joan of Nail, AR; her sister, Janice Lewis of Nail, AR; her grandchildren, Will Liggett and his wife Anna and Joe Liggett; her great-grandchildren, Gracie Liggett, Christian Liggett, Kaitlyn Liggett, and Andrew Liggett; and her great-great-grandchild, Makoa Davis.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at the Nail Church, with Brother Jerry Liggett officiating. Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Nail, AR.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Curtis, Mark Griffin, Steve Adams, Christian Liggett, Jared Curtis, and Kyle Adams.

Honorary pallbearers are Will Liggett, Joe Liggett, Andrew Liggett, Charlie Brown, Ben Brown, Sam Davis, and Benton Davis.
