Obituary
Lee Martin, age 96 of Valley Springs, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center.
The daughter of Edgar and Lois (Holliday) Hampton was born March 21, 1920 at Silver Creek, Oklahoma.
Lee was a resident of this area for the last 39 years, moving from Los Angeles, California. She worked for many years in air plane assembly during WWII and attended the Assembly of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wilmer J. Martin, her son, Gene Hardaway, three brothers, Reuben, Truman and Arvil Hampton and three sisters, Geraldine, Joann and Eva.
Lee is survived by her daughter, Mary Lee Krecman, her brother, Wayne Hampton, her sister, Martha Harrington; 4 grandchildren, Tonya Drost, Tammy Krecman, Martin Hardaway and Shelby Hardaway; 3 great great grandchildren, Tra' Watts, Jordan Hood and Taylor Pritchett; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
At her request, no services will be held. Private burial will be at a later date in Battiest Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials in her memory be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
