Lebrisha "Sue" Mock, age 94 of Jasper, Arkansas passed away peacefully in her sleep Monday, September 18, 2017 in Harrison.
The daughter of Simon and Bonnie (Smith) Ricketts was born on April 18, 1923 in Lurton, Arkansas.
She and her late husband, W.D. (Curley) Mock, ran Mockingbird Hill Café and Motel for many years. They were instrumental in getting the first rural water system to the Mockingbird Hill area. She donated the land for the ambulance service and did many other things for the community. She was a longtime member of the Moose Lodge and had a passion for dancing and socializing. She also enjoyed a fierce game of poker and Skip-Bo with her sisters and other family members.
Her parents; her husband, WD (Curley) Mock; three sisters, Gladys Neighbors, Janice Walters and Loletta Morris; two brothers, Amos Ricketts and Pleas Ricketts; two nephews, Richard Ricketts and Jimmy Walters, preceded her in death.
Sue is survived by two sons, Michael Mock and Mark Mock, a grandson, Nathan Mock all of Jasper; five nieces, Patricia Jones and husband Darrell of Harrison, Shirley Stone of Bigsby, Oklahoma, Devlyn Sewell of Concord, California, Dana Walters and Mary Morris, both of Talequah, Oklahoma; four nephews, Scott Ricketts and wife Jeannie of Harrison, Terry Walters, Rodney Walters and Tony Walters, all of Talequah.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 1:00 pm preceding the service at 2:00 pm at the Coffman Chapel in Jasper. Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery at Vendor.
Pallbearers include Darrell jones, Ronnie Smith, Steven Jones, Cameron Jones, Brent jones and Scott Ricketts.
