Lawrence "Hoss" Williams, age 89 of Hilltop, Arkansas, passed away June 13, 2011 at the North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison.

The son of Virgil and Ada Florence (Mallett) Williams was born May 13, 1922 in Hilltop, AR.

He was a member of the Hilltop Bible Church. He served in the Army and was a veteran of WWII. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and anything outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Joe, Walter, John, Harve and an infant brother, Charlie; and his sisters, Lavona Jones and Anna Maude Williams.

He is survived by his wife, Inabelle Williams of Hilltop; his sons, Harvey Williams and wife Nora of Hilltop and Larry Williams and wife Susie of Berryville; his daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy Jean and Arden Borland of Hilltop, Norma Faye and Jerry Carter of Compton, Phyllis and Bill Nay of Diamond City, and Twila and David White of Harrison; his brothers-in-law, Jake Walker and wife Billie of Hilltop and Wayne Walker of Hilltop; his sisters-in-law June Williams and Lavada Walker both of Hilltop; 18 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral service was Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison with Jim McCollough officiating. Burial followed in Hill Top Cemetery.

Pallbearers were his grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers were Rick Brisco, Mason Brisco, Marion Brisco, Ronnie Brisco, Herb and Earl Brisco, Bobby and Joe Brisco, Marvin Sims, Wayne and Jake Walker.
