Laveta Sue Larson Wofford, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 28, 2021, at the age 48.
The daughter of Louis Carl Smith and Reda Faye Dotson was born in Harrison, Arkansas on January 20, 1973. She was of Pentecostal faith and a lifelong resident of Boone and Newton Counties. She enjoyed flower gardening and collecting wind chimes and solar lights.
Laveta worked as a CNA and was a very caring person, and she especially loved caring for the elderly. She was loving and kind and would do anything for anyone. Laveta loved her family very much and they loved her tremendously.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Rev. Jimmy and Leanner Dotson and Coy and Verdean Smith and a brother, Duke Criner.
Laveta is survived by her son, Justin McCutcheon of Harrison; her mother Reda and Jack Criner of Lurton, her father, Carl and Kathy Smith of Bellefonte; her husband, Ronald Wofford and his children; her sisters and their husbands, Venita and Phillip Parttridge of Western Grove, Mandy and Jason Martin of Mount Judea and Sherri and Jason Long of Harrison; and a granddaughter, Jayde; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends who loved her and will miss her.
Funeral will be at 1 PM, Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at First Pentecostal Church of Cowell with Bro. Tony Mays officiating. Burial will follow at Smith Cemetery in Vendor.
Visitation will be Monday from 5 PM – 7 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.
Pallbearers are Donnie Bohannon, Justin McCutcheon, Johnny Smith, Samuel Smith, Travis freeman and Wesley Allen Sparks.
Honorary pallbearers are her nephews and the Mercy Hospital ICU Nurses and Doctors.
