Laverne Carter, age 65, of Bolivar Missouri passed away June 4, 2010 in Bolivar.
The daughter of Brown James Altman and Jewel B. Parish was born August 11, 1944 in Wynn, Arkansas.
Laverne loved to read the Bible. She enjoyed cooking and making candies. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her dog Petti.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald Robert Carter; and her brother, Robert Altman.
Laverne Carter is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James and Ronda Parker of Bolivar, Missouri; her daughter and son-in-law, Donna K. and Roy Young of Harrison, Arkansas; her stepson Ronald J. Carter of Marshall, Arkansas; her brother, Jerry Altman and wife Anita of Hawaii; eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 2:00pm, Wednesday June 9, 2010 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison with Jim Jr. Arnold officiating. Burial will be in York Cemetery in Bergman, Arkansas.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8pm on Tuesday, June 8, at Coffman Funeral Home.
