Obituary

Larry Glen Richardson, age 58 of Lurton, Arkansas passed away Friday, November 5, 2010 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison.

The son of Henry Nath and Frankie Viola (Roberson) Richardson was born December 1, 1951 at Limestone, Arkansas.

He was a deputy sheriff for the Newton County Sheriff's Department for eight years and had worked at Dow Chemical for 32 years. He was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors and taking his grandchildren hunting and fishing.
Larry was a lifetime resident of Newton County and was of the Pentecostal faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Edith Richardson, Agnes Young and Helen Robb; one brother, Ronnie Richardson and a brother-in-law, Ebb Young.

Survivors are his wife, Carolyn (Tigg) Richardson of Lurton to whom he was married on July 10, 2004; one son, Randy Richardson and wife, Carla (McCutcheon) Richardson of Bass, AR; one daughter, Jodie (Richardson) Hill and husband, Jeff Hill of Osage, AR; a step-son, Brian Keele and wife, Lea (House) Keele of Harrison, AR; a step-daughter, Kristie (Keele) Blevins and husband, Michael Blevins of Omaha, AR; eight grandchildren, Tristen Kuren Richardson, Bethany Faith Richardson, Alex Madelyn Hill, Jaxon Lane Hill, Gage Allen Farmer, Elijah Ross Keele, Lily Grace Keele and Justin Blevins;
two sisters, Lavern Baughman of Harrison, AR and Erma Jean Rawlingson of Lead Hill, AR; one brother, J.C. Richardson of Mt. Judea, AR; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at the Deer School Gymnasium with Gary Johnson officiating. Burial followed in Nail Cemetery at Nail, Arkansas under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Jasper. Visitation was Monday, November 8, 2010 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.

Pallbearers were Keith Slape, Jerry Watts, Greg Harris, Kenny Seay, Travis Faught, and Pete DeChant. Honorary pallbearers were the Newton County Sheriff's Department, David Freeman and Mack Cook.

Honor guard was provided by the Arkansas Sheriff's Association.
