Obituary
Larry W. Martin, age 55 of Deer, Arkansas passed away Thursday, October 12, 2006 at his brother's home in Deer.
The son of Jerry A. and Alice P. (Collins) Martin was born January 2, 1951 in Harrison, AR.His parents preceded him in death along with his twin sister, Sue Canady and sister, Ava Dean McCutcheon; and a brother-in-law, Roy Allen Cross.
He was a Christian and also enjoyed fishing and hunting. He had lived most of his life in the Lead Hill area then moving to Newton County.
Survivors are his sisters and brothers, Wilda Fay Cross of Independence, MO, Wanda and husband, Rueben "Duke" Cook of Blue Springs, MO,
Jo Ann and husband, Marvin Goins of Independence, MO, Johnny Martin and wife, Kathy of Deer, J.D. Martin and wife, Kathy also of Deer, Jerry Martin, Jr. of Blue Springs, MO, Phyllis and husband, Doyn Tramel of Harrison, and Rocky Martin and fiance', Elana of Deer; and an aunt, Lucy Norton of Piercetown, AR.
Larry's service was Saturday, Oct. 14 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel in Jasper, AR. Burial was in Smith Cemetery at Vendor, AR. Nephews served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Duke Cook, Doyn Tramell, Marvin Goins, Darrell Bowling, and Scott Dahlstrom. Visitation was Friday, Oct. 13 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Newton County Cancer Support or American Cancer Society.
