Larry Wayne Farmer, age 54, of Bergman, Arkansas passed away April 29, 2010 at Parthenon, Arkansas. He was born February 26, 1956 at Harrison, Arkansas to Benjamin and Floy Jean Farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta K. Farmer of the home; his mother and stepfather, Floy Jean (Waggoner) and Don Stratton of Osawatomie, KS; one son, Ricky Wayne Farmer and his fiance. Angela Loehnig of Harrison, AR; one daughter, Elizabeth Joanne Helstrom and her husband Heath of Davenport, IA; three grandchildren, Zachary and Gabriel Helstrom, and Zoe Farmer; one stepdaughter, April King of Harrison, AR; two step-sons, Morris King and Michael Cooper both of Bergman, AR.; nine step grandchildren; three brothers, Hulon Jean Famer and wife Heidi of Russellville, AR., Jerry Lee Farmer and wife Deborah of Great Bend, KS, and Billy Ross Farmer and wife Shelly of Great Bend, KS; three sisters, Cathy Sue Eason and husband Les of Corning, AR., Deborah Kay Wilson and husband Mike of Osawatomie, KS, and Ruthie Smith of Eldorado, AR.
He was preceded in death by his father, Benjamin Farmer; a brother, James "Randy" Farmer; a sister, Shirley Diane Beardsley; and stepson, Rodney N. King.
Funeral Service was Thursday, May 6, 2010 at Coffman Funeral Home with Dewey McGarrah officiating. Burial followed in Maple Leaf Cemetery. Visitation was Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Coffman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers was Marvin King, Donnie Wilson, John Ledel, Dan Rider, Brandon Chester, and Tim Graves. Honorary pallbearers were Jim and Donna Judy, Randy Judy, the employees of Judy's Insulation and Larry's fishing buddies.
Larry served in the United States Army. He was a devoted employee of Judy's Insulation where he had been employed for over 31 years. He loved music and enjoyed singing karaoke. He was an avid fisherman and loved fishing on the White River at Cotter, AR. He enjoyed family gatherings and was looking forward to an upcoming family reunion in Terre Haute, IN. He adored his dog, Stormy, his little riding buddy whom he affectionaely called "Little Farm."
Larry was a loving and devoted family man and a friend to all. He was a hard worker and provider. He was kind and generous, and he put the wants and needs of others before his own. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
