Larry Keet Courtney, of Omaha, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Cox Medical Center in Branson, Missouri. He was 82 years old.

The son of Keet and Francis Jean (Scott) Courtney was born on February 4, 1940 in Springfield, Missouri.

Larry was an avid sports fan and critic. He loved fast pitch softball, for which he played and coached. Larry also played Minor League Baseball in Visalia, California during the late 1950's and early 1960's.

Larry was the kind of person who never met a stranger and lovingly gave everyone a nickname. He enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Deborah Courtney; five sons, Dusty Courtney and his girlfriend, Tiffany, Jesse Courtney and his fiancé, Lacy, Billy Courtney and his wife, Shelby, Danny Courtney and his wife, Diane, and Doug Courtney and his wife, Carolyn; one daughter and her husband, Donna and Rick Velgos; 12 grandchildren, Jessica, Danielle, Nick, Anna, Timmy, Tommy, Colby, Carver, Avery, Vinny, Kade, and Sonny; four great grandchildren, Jaxon, Macy, Emma, and Quinn; and his best fur buddy, Peanut.

Memorial Service will be Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Lakeland Baptist Church in Omaha.  Pastor Carl Garvin will officiate.
