Obituary

Larry Hill Alexander, age 83, passed away at his home in Prairie Grove, AR, on December 2, 2025.

The son of Kenneth and Lela (Tullos) Alexander was born January 1, 1942, in Manifest, Louisiana.

Larry served in the US Army for 23 years and served 3 tours in Vietnam. He was a retired Sergeant First Class and had many medals, badges, and awards. After retiring, he moved to Newton County in 2001 and lived there for 24 years. He worked as a van driver for the Newton County Senior Center for 16 years and was a member of the American Legion. Larry was a loving husband, father, and family man.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Lela Alexander; two sisters, Linda Cebrinsky and Connie Jeansonne; his brother, James Alexander; and his daughter, Lori Coates.

Larry is survived by his wife, Debralee Alexander of Jasper, his children William Alexander and Danette of Mt. View, AR, Elisabeth Cannon of Pineville, LA, Robert Alexander of Tioga, LA, James Kull and Halie of Grand Prairie, TX, and Danielle Alexander and Homer of West Fork, AR, his sister, Virginia Alexander of Pineville, LA, 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 8, 2025, at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper, AR.
