LaJana Geree Saling Nixon, 43, of Springfield, MO, passed away Monday, October 7, 2013 at Springfield.

She was born at Harrison, on December 14, 1969, to Loyce and Sherail Tyner Saling. LaJana married Roy Lin Nixon, Jr. on December 16, 1995, at Pindall.
LaJana's greatest achievement and love was her daughter Jessica. Roy, LaJana and Jessica shared a family bond based on true love and caring.

LaJana worked as a beauty technician, in a nursing care facility, and for the last several years as an assistant manager at Tuesday Morning in Springfield.
She had a real zest for life, caring for people all around her. She was the go to person in her family for planning and organizing each special event. She was especially skilled at cooking and making memorial wreaths.

LaJana was preceded in death by her mother, Sherail Tyner Saling; her grandparents, Gene and Clady Saling; her grandfather, Densil Tyner; and grandmother, Rua Baker.

Her survivors include her husband, Roy; her daughter, Jessica; her parents, Loyce and Joyce Saling; a sister, Patti and husband Jimmy Brown of Pindall; two brothers, Keith and wife Tonya Swafford of Harrison, and Les and wife Sheila Swafford of Pindall; nieces Alison, Trish, Ashley, and Kayla; nephews, Adam, Richard, Morgan, Corbin, Clayton, and Tieler;
her father and mother in-law, Roy Sr. and Sue Nixon of Bergman; three sisters-in-law, June Daniels of Newport, Susan and husband Ari Rabone of Harrison, and Joy and Husband Charles Randall of Wynne; nieces Shannon, Kim, Robyn, Cambrie, and Alexis; nephews, Derrick, Brock, Logan, and Shawn;
her Tyner family - grandmother, Janavee Tyner of Saint Joe; Aunt Betty and husband Junior Eddings of Saint Joe; her cousins "brothers"; Tyner Eddings and Amanda Williams of Harrison; Zachary and wife Kayla of Saint Joe; nephews Jeremy, Eamitt, and Hunter; and nieces, Dallas and Shelby.

Funeral service was held at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Visitation was Wednesday, October 9, 2013. The funeral was Thursday, October 10, 2013 with Rev. Darvin Rainbolt officiating. Interment followed in Osborne Cemetery in Saint Joe.

Pallbearers included Scott Jones, Derrick Jackson, Tyner Eddings, Zachary Eddings, Jimmy Brown and Clayton Swafford. Honorary pallbearers included Curtis, Kenneth and Eugene Baker, Jason Voelkl, Colleen Roberts, Jannie Manes, Kyle Baker, Mikey Diebold, Rodney Hale, Jeff Whitaker and the St. Joe High School Class of 1988.
