Kenny Dale Journagan, age 70, of Jasper, AR, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

The son of Alfred Dean and Helen Florella (Terry) Journagan was born February 20, 1956, in Harrison, AR.

Ken graduated from Harrison High School in 1974 and the University of Arkansas in 1978. He married Teresa (Matlock) in June 1978. He was in management with Wal-Mart and then later worked for the OUR Co-op before opening Caspian Flower Shop in 1985. Alongside his wife Teresa, he built a successful business that has serviced the Harrison and Jasper community for over 40 years.

Ken served on the Newton County Special Services Board. He was an ordained Minister as well as a Gideon. He never pastored but had a standing appointment to preach or filled in at area churches.

Ken loved to watch things grow. He grew Mums and Caladiums for many years to sell at the flower shop.

Fireworks were one of his greatest passions. His favorite part was bringing people together and watching the night sky come alive as he shared that joy with family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Helen Journagan, and his grandson, Zachary Carlson.

Ken is survived by his wife of 48 years, Teresa (Matlock) Journagan; his father, Dean Journagan; his son Clayton Journagan and his wife Brenna; his daughter Amanda Terry and her husband Andrew; his sisters Devonna Criner and her husband James and Brenda Brock and her husband Jerry; and 2 grandchildren, Ava and Adalynn Journagan.

Visitation will be 2:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.

A private funeral service will be held.

Honorary pallbearer is Carl Bowling.
