Kennie L. Woods, passed away surrounded by his family on Friday, April 17, 2026 in Harrison, Arkansas. He was 68 years old. He was born on May 6, 1957 to Noah and Eileen (Edgmon) Woods who preceded him in death.
Kennie is survived by his devoted, loving wife of 43 years, Trish Woods whom he married on October 15, 1982; five siblings, Danny Woods and wife Sharon, Spanky Woods and wife Yvonne, Katie Robertson and husband Kevin, Landon Woods and wife Shelly, and Billy Woods and wife Mary. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Travis Woods and Tracey Ohler, Brandy Jones and Bradley Woods, Dustin Logue, Tyler Woods and Matthew Woods, Jennifer McCoy and Jeremy Woods. He is also survived by his special Wabash friends: Terri, Loretta, and Debbie, and his beloved dog, Harley.
Proverbs 18:24 explains, " A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother." Anyone who knew Kennie wouldn't doubt that Solomon had him in mind when he wrote this verse. Kennie showed his brotherly friendship through his willingness to give a helping hand. Whether you needed help getting a car out of a ditch, building a fence, or a listening ear, Kennie quickly showed up to provide his support with a big smile and a good laugh that lightened even the most somber mood.
Several years ago, Kennie bought a cabin on Cave Mountain where his paternal grandparents raised their family. He cherished moments at the cabin where he watched hummingbirds, hunted wildlife, and trapped hogs. However, these activities paled in comparison to the enjoyment Kennie received from visiting with loved ones on the same mountain that he explored as a child. He also treasured friendships that he formed during his years of service at Woods Phillips 66 Station, Journagan Construction, Rains Construction, and Wabash.
Visitation will be held Monday, April 20 from 5 PM to 7 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.
Funeral service will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, April 21 (2026) at Mossville United Baptist Church with Pastor Bobby Young officiating. Burial will follow in Mossville Cemetery under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home.

Kevin Robertson, Bradley Woods, Kayden Logue, Benny Stovall, Wesley D. Sparks, Rick Morlan, Tim Ernst, and Calvin Neff will be honorary pallbearers.
