Kenneth E. Stone, Sr., of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville at the age of 72.
The son of Alvin and Katherine (Loveless) Stone was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on February 14, 1949. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving from 1968-1970 and served a tour in Vietnam from 1969-1970. He and his family moved to Boone County in 1985 from Illinois. His mother died when he was 2, and he was raised by his aunt and uncle, Florence and Alf Williford. Kenny grew up in Cherry Valley, Arkansas on a farm with 12 dogs. At age 16, he moved to Illinois after the death of his uncle. While living in Illinois, he met the love of his life in April 1970, Patsy Simmons, and they were married two weeks later. Together, they had four children, adopted four children and fostered three children.

Kenny loved to travel with his wife, visiting every state but six. He also enjoyed camping. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and always a jokester. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Katherine Stone, his adoptive parents, Florence and Alf Williford, a brother, Leonard Stone and a grandson, E.J. Stone.
