Obituary

Kenneth Jay Rhoad, age 85, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center.

The son of Warren T. Rhoad and Elsie I. (Kreiser) Rhoad was born in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania on June 6, 1935.

He loved truck driving, gardening, country living, was an avid user of natural and homeopathic remedies. During his truck driving career, he enjoyed visiting nearly all of the continental states. He loved his sharing time with his family and helping others. He was a devout Christian with the Bible being his most read book.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Mark Rhoad, Lloyd Rhoad and Chester Rhoad.

He is survived by his wife, Evelynn of Harrison, AR; his brother, Clinton Rhoad of Palmyra, PA and sister, Mildred Yoder of Lebanon, PA; his daughter, Beverly Reeves of Leola, PA, and her daughter, Sondra Cortina of Ramsey, NJ, and grandchildren, Isabella and Liliana Cortina and her son, Derek Firestone of Myrtle Beach, SC and her grandson, Lucea Firestone; his daughter, Joanne Rhoad of Lancaster, PA; and his daughters, Marianne (Brandon) Henderson, and their children, Grace and Henry; of Mantorville, MN; Sarah (Nick) Piscopio of Hurst, TX; and their mother, Ruth Brett of Mabel, MN; his special friends, Keith and Virginia Smalley, who have been very close friends for over 40 years; Kenneth and Keith thought of each other as brothers.  He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and extended relatives.

At Kenneth's request, burial will take place at a later date in Pennsylvania.
