Kenneth Charley Nichols, 75, of Chelan, Washington, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 in Tampico, Washington.
The son of Charley and Alma Jane (Burr) Nichols was born in Harrison, Arkansas on June 24, 1947. He left for Washington in his late teens, got married and raised his children near Tieton, later settling in Yakima where he worked as a farmer, bus driver and logger.
Kenny enjoyed racing cars, fishing and hunting. He loved spending time outdoors. He especially cherished spending time with his family. He was always teasing, joking and laughing. Kenny loved his family and friends dearly, and he will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Lois Hensley and a nephew, Noah Hampton.
Kenny is survived by his children, Fairel (Kim) Nichols of Chelan, WA, and Kimmie (John) Fisk of Harrison; his siblings, Dennis (LaVonne) Nichols of Harrison, Luanna (Tom) Bibb of Cleveland, TN, Rebecca (Donnie) Hampton of Lurton, Kerry Nichols of Lurton, Terry (April) Nichols of Pleasant Hill, MO, and Jay (Sherry) Greable of Tieton, WA; six grandchildren, Jake and John Fisk, and Makenzie, Micheal, Hunter and Holden Nichols; the mother of his children, Joyce Nichols of Harrison; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives and many dear friends.
Graveside service will be at 3:00 PM, Friday, September 9, 2022 at Gass Cemetery with Mike Spears officiating. There is no visitation.
Pallbearers are Kevin Nichols, Jesse Hampton, T.J. Nichols, Eric Nichols, John W. Fisk and John M. Fisk.
Honorary pallbearers are Gary Hilton, Danny Geoghegan, Bill Haney, Dave Schmoe, David Hilton and Kenneth Martin.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gass Cemetery Fund, C/O Rachel Roberts, 4940 Dubuque Rd., Omaha, AR, 72662.
