Kenneth L. Kimes, age 59 of Lead Hill, AR entered into eternal rest, Sunday, January 27, 2008 at Pine Lane Health Care in Mtn. Home, AR.

The son of Kenneth W. and Dorothy (Dieter) Kimes, was born February 28, 1948 in Geneva, Illinois.

Kenneth enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1966. He was injured November 1, 1968 while aboard the USS Lexington, during the Vietnam War. He was honorably and medically discharged in 1969 and had been hospitalized for over 39 years.

His father preceded him in death.

Survivors are his mother, Dorothy Kimes, of Lead Hill; sisters, Kathryn Blunt and her husband, Stephan, of Ozark, MO, Kristine Stapleton and her husband, Jerald, of Lead Hill, and Karen King and her husband, Bob, also of Lead Hill; an aunt, Elaine Stark, of Bloomingdale, IL; and uncle, Donald Dieter, of Batavia, IL; nephews, Shannon Dees, Kenneth Clifford, B.J. King, and David King; niece, Jenna Clifford; two great nieces, Elaine Dees, and Aalyiah Clifford;
one great nephew, Alex Clifford;
and many cousins.

Memorial rosary service will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Mary Mother of God Catholic Church with Memorial Mass following at 11 A.M. Rev. Gregory G. Hart will officiate.

Interment will be in Maplewood Cemetery.

Cremation and arrangements are being handled by Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison.

There will also be a memorial service held at a later date at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chicago, IL.
