Keltner Riddell, age 60, of Piercetown, Arkansas, passed away at Hospice House in Harrison on Saturday, March 7, 2020 surrounded by his family. The son of Sammie and Bertha (Martin) Riddell was born in Harrison on May 2, 1959.
Keltner was a life-long resident of Newton County. He worked many years logging timber and doing construction work. He loved being outside spending time with family and friends at the creek, in the deer woods, and camping at the lake. The most precious time he had was with his grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, William, Daley, and Melvin, brother-in-law, Sonny Stewart, three nephews, Larry Stewart, David Adam and Ronnie Riddell, and his in-laws, Mel and Marie Nelson.
Keltner is survived by his wife of 36 years, Tieada, of the home; daughters and their husbands, Leeanna and Brandon Mace of Western Grove and Anna and Jody Collins of Piercetown; grandchildren Keagan and Kaleena Ricketts and Ethan, Carter, and Kylin Collins; siblings and their spouses, Stevie Riddell of Piercetown, David and Carolyn Riddell of Vendor, Eddie Riddell of Vendor, Helen Stewart of Bergman, Cora Flippo of Harrison, Lucinda and Clyde Hampton of Pelsor, Katherine Riddell of Vendor and Evelyn Riddell of Harrison. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends who loved him.
Funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday, March 12, at Piercetown Holiness Church in Piercetown, with Wesley Ricketts officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Cemetery in Vendor, Arkansas.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper, Arkansas.
Pallbearers are Kylin Collins, Travis Flippo, Adam Riddell, Brandon Riddell, Jason Campbell, and Craig Collins.
Honorary pallbearers are his grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Coffman Funeral Home to help defray funeral expenses.
