IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Julia Denice
Butler
December 15, 1980 – January 21, 2025
Julia Denice "Niece" Butler, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away at home on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at the age of 44.
The daughter of James Michael Bunch and Belinda Joyce (Sanderson) Bunch was born at South Central Medical Center in Laurel, Mississippi on December 15, 1980. She graduated from Wayne County High School in Waynesboro, Mississippi in 1999. She made the move to Arkansas with her family in 1999 and has called Arkansas home for 25 years.
She attended CrossRoads Community Church. Denice proudly obtained her Registered Nursing Degree in December 2020. She loved senior citizens and being able to care for them as their nurse. She has been an RN with the Boone County Health Department for the past year.
Denice, "Niece" as most of her family and close friends called her, lit up every room she entered. Her bubbly personality drew people to her like a magnet. The phrase "never met a stranger" gets used frequently, but it was certainly true in her case. She was a beautiful person, inside and out, and if her smile didn't get your attention, her thick southern accent would. She loved to joke around and be silly, but she could always be counted on for advice and comfort if you needed a shoulder to lean on.
Denice loved the outdoors. She enjoyed hiking, walks with her dog, Caymas, and she absolutely loved fishing. She adored her family. She loved her parents immensely and spoke to them daily. She was so happy to have found her person in Brandon and her girls, Alison and Ava. She loved them and their life adventures together. FaceTime was a favorite way to communicate so she could see you face to face. She loved her brother, sister, nephews, and nieces; she was so proud of them all. Denice loved big and didn't hold anything back.
Denice's love for others, her beauty, and her unique, contagious spirit will leave a hole in the hearts of all who knew and loved her; but everyone's life was made better by her being part of it.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dick and Eunice Sanderson, Bobbie Jean Bunch, and James and Yvonne Bunch, and an uncle, Kendall Sanderson.
Denice is survived by her parents, Mike and Joyce Bunch; her husband, Brandon Butler; stepdaughters, Alison and Ava Butler; brother and sister-in-law, Jason and Ashley Bunch; sister and brother-in-law, Jessica and James Powe; brother-in-law, Jason Butler; father and mother-in-law, Larry and Susan Butler; nieces and nephews, Jared Powe, Tanner Powe, Jaley Bunch, Arlo Bunch, Arabella Bunch, Samuel Butler, Emmett Butler, Gabriel Butler, and Whitney Butler; uncles and aunts, Malcom Bunch, Pam and Jonathan McMichael, Lawanda and Todd Walker, J.O. and Deborah Phillips, Sue and Tommy Walker, Joann and Tony Davis, and Nathan and Christy Sanderson; her beloved fur baby, Caymas; and a host of extended relatives and many dear friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM, Thursday, January 23 (2025) at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Funeral service will be at 2 PM, Friday, January 24 (2025) at Coffman Funeral Home with Pastor Paul Braschler officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery in Harrison.
