Juanita Ruth Whiteside, age 82 of Bellefonte, AR passed away Wednesday, October 4, 2006 at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison.
She was born July 11, 1924 in Dodd City, AR a daughter of Arthur and Nellie (Clark) Quigley. Her father, Arthur Quigley and her mother, Nellie Quigley Rogers, preceded her in death along with her first husband, Elnor Newman and her second husband, Eulis Whiteside; a son, Richard Whiteside; a granddaughter, Brenda Kay Thomas; two brothers, Tommy and Doyne "Bud" Quigley; and two sisters, Anna Sue and Emma Rue Quigley.
Juanita was a devoted member of the Bellefonte United Methodist Church where she enjoyed teaching Sunday School and having fellowship with the women's group. She also enjoyed piecing quilts, crocheting, and spending time with her ever-growing family. She worked over thirty years as a nursing assistant, twenty years of which was at NARMC.
Survivors are her children, Anna Mae Hurt of Drumright, OK, Eva Nell Thomas of Zinc, AR, Delores Coyle of Sands Springs, OK, Rita Baker of Claremore, OK, Roger Whiteside of Everton, AR, Brenda Hogland of Harrison, AR, Randy Whiteside of Snowball, AR, and Jim Whiteside also of Harrison, AR; a daughter-in-law, Terri Whiteside of Tulsa, OK; her brothers and sisters, Arthur Quigley, Jr., Mary Lou Taylor, Mattie Jean Atchley, LaWanda Doyle, Winnie Mae Marts, Donald Rogers, Ronald "Shorty" Rogers, and Carmela Simms; twenty-six grandchildren; forty-one great grandchildren; and two great- great grandchildren.
Service 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 7, 2006 at Coffman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Smith and Rev. John Wedaman officiating. Burial will be in Bellefonte Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Visitation is going to be from 6-8 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
