Juanita Ruth Edmonson, 87 formerly of Harrison, Arkansas went to meet her Savior Sunday, July 7, 2013 at her current residence in La Marque, Texas.

Juanita was born October 13, 1925 in Harrison, Arkansas the daughter of Carlos Luke Pearson and Grace E. Roberts Pearson. She was a resident of La Marque for a short time and a longtime resident of Harrison, Arkansas. She was a member of the Burlington Baptist Church near Omaha, and Share and Care of Harrison. Juanita loved to write and sing all her life, but especially with her husband playing the guitar and fiddle. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and wonderful friend. She had an excellent memory, and could still remember poems learned in her childhood. Her hobbies were sewing, crocheting and reading her Bible. She had a keen sense of humor and kept making everyone laugh to the very end.

She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Junior Edmonson, son Christopher Ross Edmonson, and parents. Juanita is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Teresa and Kim Astin of La Marque; two sons and daughters-in-law Robert C. Edmonson and Debra of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Jesse M. Edmonson and Melissa of Hutchinson, Kansas; one brother and sisiter-in-law Gerald Pearson and Virginia of Omaha, Arkansas; four grandchildren Bobby Edmonson, Alexis Montoya, Aaron Edmonson and Austin Edmonson; she is also survived by her faithful dog companion, Susie and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation was Thursday, July 11, 2013 at the Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison, Arkansas. Funeral Services were Friday, July 12, 2013 at Burlington Baptist Church near Omaha, Arkansas with Br. Sam Dunham officiating. Interment followed at Gass Cemetery near Harrison, Arkansas.

Pallbearers were Shannon Pearson, Kevin Pearson, K.C. Pearson, Leroy Edwards, Rick Wright and Leon Edwards. Honorary Pallbearers were Bobby Edmonson, Alexis Montoya, Aaron Edmonson, Austin Edmonson, Dwayne Edmonson, Bud Pearson, Erin Gaw, and Joe Gaw.
