Juanice "Janice" Horn Elton, 90, of Long Beach, California was called by the Lord into the eternal after life on June 10, 2017.

Janice was born in Searcy County, Arkansas on November 13, 1926. Her grandmother, Sara Jestern "Sally" Casto Horn helped deliver her at home. After graduating from Western Grove High School, she spent some time working as a teacher.  In 1950, she married Bill Gene "Billy" Elton.  While their adventures together took them on many travels through many states, they eventually settled in Long Beach, California.  She was Arkansas at heart, but could not give up the California sunshine. She worked for Bank of America for over 35 years as an Operations Manager before retiring to take care of her son Michael.

Janice enjoyed good food, a glass of red wine, discussing politics, and socializing with her family and friends. She remained active most of her life and could be found walking miles along the beach or wearing out the treadmill at the Senior Center.

Janice is survived by her sister, Rose Horn and family, of Western Grove Arkansas; her sister, Joanne Roberts and family, of Western Grove, Arkansas; her daughter, Anita Lee Pirillo and family, of Huntington Beach, California; her son, Michael Walter Elton, of Long Beach, California; her granddaughter, Rebecca Elizabeth Lee, of San Diego, California; and her grandson, Jesse Randall Billy Lee, of Long Beach, California. She also leaves behind numerous cousins, nephews, and nieces, as well as an extended network of friends.

Janice is preceded in death by her father, Ulysses Grant Horn; her mother, Hattie Watts Horn; her sister, Maxine Horn Morris; her brother, Upton Hugo Horn; her brother, Donald Eugene Horn; her husband, Bill Gene Elton; her son, Joey Lee Elton; and her son, Scotty Gene Elton.

Services will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Coffman Funeral Home at 501 Old Bellefonte Rd, Harrison, AR 72601. Viewing of the casket will be at 10:00am with service to follow at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Western Grove Cemetery. All are invited to a reception immediately following at the church near Coffman Funeral Home.
