Linda Joyce Saling, age 73 of Pindall, Arkansas passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017 in Pindall.
The daughter of Gerald Edward and Rua (Sasser) Baker was born on July 4, 1944 in Bruno, Arkansas.
Joyce was a member of the St. Joe Church of Christ and a long time employee at Sullivan Pharmacy, retiring in 2012. She loved her family deeply and they were her life. She also liked to ride 4-wheelers, enjoyed gardening and had many Elvis collectibles.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Lajana (Saling) Nixon; a great-granddaughter, Abagail Grace Swafford; a niece, Tracy Willis and a nephew, John Willis.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Loyce Saling of Pindall; 2 sons, Keith Swafford and wife Tonya of Marble Falls, Arkansas and Les Swafford and wife Sheila of Pindall; a daughter, Patti Swafford Brown and husband Jimmy of Pindall; an adopted daughter, Cindy Craig Nervo of Rhine, Georgia; brothers and sisters, Dale Baker of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Mary Willis of Pindall, Coy Baker of Pindall, Jerry Baker of Bruno, Arkansas, Kenny Baker of Everton, Arkansas, Connie Willis of Pindall, Don Baker of Harrison and Debbie Snow of Olvey, Arkansas; 12 grandchildren, Richard Swafford, Trish Henson, Ashley Olivan, Morgan Allen, Corbin Swafford, Clayton Swafford, Kayla Williams, Tieler Swafford, Allison Brown, Adam Brown, Jessica Nixon and Jacob Towns; 18 great-grandchildren; her best friend, Jackie Feltrope; her beloved dog, Izzy and many other family and friends who will mourn her passing.
Services will be held on Thursday, August 31 at 2:00 pm at the Coffman Chapel in Harrison with Jerry Dale Willis officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Flat Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Pallbearers include Wayne Willis, Joe Willis, J.T. Willis, Mike Baker, Doug Baker, Jeff Baker, Steven Baker, Jason Baker, and Mitchell Baker. Honorary pallbearers include her nieces and nephews, her grandchildren, David Grinder, Steve Richards, Benny Begley, Jimmy Brown, Jeremy Baker, Doug Horn, Jane Young, Mike Richardson and the employees of Public Works - City of Harrison.
