Joyce Jean Proctor, 75, of Big Creek, Arkansas, passed away on October 29, 2023, with loved ones by her side.

The daughter of Sammie and Imogene (Ewing) Farmer was born November 21, 1947 in Harrison, Arkansas and graduated from Deer High School in 1966.  A few years after high school, she married the love of her life, Ray Proctor.

On any given day, you could find Joyce working in her bountiful garden, which she truly loved. She loved living the country life in the beautiful mountains. Most everywhere she went, she had her four-legged best friend at her side. Over the years, her and Ray had many dogs, but a coon dog was always their breed of choice.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sammie and Imogene Farmer; a brother, J.W. Farmer; and her loving husband, Ray Proctor.

Survivors include many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

A special thank-you to her neighbors, friends and extended family for caring for her in her later years.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 1, 2023 from 5 PM to 7 PM at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper.

Graveside service will be at 11 AM, Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Mossville Cemetery with Steve Martin officiating.

Pallbearers are Nick Holt, Travis Holt, Donnie Davis, Phillip Campbell, Ellis Campbell, and Jason Campbell.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Mossville Cemetery Fund.
