Joy A. Rice, of Harrison, passed at her home on January 17, 2024. She was 95 years old.

The daughter of Jim and Etter (Bridges) Ruff was born on October 12, 1928 in Tilly, Arkansas.

Joy loved her Lord, and enjoyed being a grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.

She is preceded by her husbands, Houston Brewer and Gene Rice; brother, Jerald Ruff; sister, Polly Morehouse; and grandson, Shawn Brewer.

Joy is survived by her daughter, Shirley Shaddox; son, Clyde Brewer; brother, EJ Ruff; grandchildren, Robbert Shaddox, Justin Shaddox, Stephanie Welch, Tiffany Fitch and Ben Brewer; many great grandchildren and other family and friends.

Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison.
