Obituary

Johnny Ellis Jr., age 61 of Anchorage, Alaska died February 9th, 2022 of natural causes at North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison, Arkansas.

Johnny was born March 13th, 1960 in Springfield, Missouri to John and Barbara Marie Ellis.

Johnny was an Eagle Scout, graduate of Bartlett High School and Claremont McKenna College. He also attended the University of Alaska. Johnny Served in the House of Representatives from 1987 to 1992 and as Senator from 1993 to 2016. Johnny was an accomplished and highly respected career politician working tirelessly serving the people of Alaska. Johnny was a family man who always made time for his loved ones. He was a world traveler, avid movie goer, foodie and a best friend to all he met.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Ellis and Barbara Marie Ellis.

Survivors include Debrah Roe, Jeff Ellis, Adam Ellis, Kristen Eubanks, Jessica Smith and many great Nephews and Nieces.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 19th, 2022 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison, Arkansas.
