Obituary

Johnnie Lee Suggs, of Harrison, Arkansas, passed away at home on Friday, November 21, 2025. He was 79 years old.

The son of Montie and Virgie (Williams) Suggs was born in Harrison on December 26, 1945.

Johnnie grew up in Everton and graduated from Valley Springs High School in 1963. While in school, he met his wife of 61 years, Pam Ramey. They were married December 18, 1964, at Everton Church. He was a longtime faithful member of Bellefonte Church of Christ.

He spent the majority of his life working as a parts manager, retiring from John Deere after 40 years. His career allowed him to meet many people and make several lifelong friends. Johnnie has spent the last 5 years working at Wal-Mart as a door greeter. He loved the opportunity to visit with old friends and acquaintances, as well as making many new friends along the way.  He enjoyed his time with Wal-Mart and would always speak fondly of his Wal-Mart family.

In his free time, Johnnie loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandkids. He also enjoyed being at home and front porch sitting with Pam, drinking coffee and enjoying the outdoors. Johnnie was an avid fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks and Valley Springs Tigers. If a game was on, everyone knew to be quiet so the game could have his full attention.

Johnnie was a hardworking, loving and devoted husband, father and granddad. He had a great sense of humor and loved his family. He built a beautiful life with his family full of wonderful memories that they will treasure.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ralph and Walter Suggs; and two sisters-in-law, Sammie and Verna Suggs.

Johnnie is survived by his wife, Pam Suggs; children, Stephanie Marks (Lance) and James Suggs (Eva); 9 grandchildren, Kayla, Haley, Chase, Raegan, Ramey, Bevie, Damien, Brandt, and Mason; 9 great grandchildren; his special friend, Ron Kersh; his beloved dog, Maggie Mae; several nieces, nephews, extended relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be from 9 AM to 10 AM followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM both on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison. Ray Crawford will officiate.
