Alton Stuart, age 81 of Jasper, passed away on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born October 8, 1936 in a small town of Eden, Texas.

Alton did many wonderful and exciting things in his life.  He served in the Army National Guard, and he always loved to build and fix things.  He spent most of his life working as a mechanic.  In his younger years he enjoyed building and driving race cars and hunting and fishing. But his most favorite thing to do was sit around and visit with family.  When he was younger he loved going to Colorado and panning for gold with his mom and dad.  Everything he did revolved around his family.  He built a life that left everyone proud to be a part of it.

He was preceded by his parents, Isom and Sophia Stuart; five brothers, Raymond, Rennon, Arvel, Wes, and Bob; three sisters, Faye, Wanda, and Doll; and one grandson, Stacy Lawrence.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Eleah Stuart; five children, Randy & Wife Tina, John, Galon, Kathy and husband Gaylon, and Katrina and husband Matt; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper, AR.

Funeral service will be 2:00 P.M., Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper with Brother Jimmy Bohannon officiating.
Burial will follow in Smith Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bud Lane, James Isom, Joe Stuart, Nathan Stuart, Gary Reddell, Shaunie Reddell, R.J. Byrd, and Dallas Byrd.
Honorary pallbearers are Matt Heiderscheidt, Larry Davis, Ray Stuart, Brad Seawright, Grant West, Tip Lacey, Vince Sutton, Derek Gellerman, Lane Stuart, Donald Haddock, Stuart Lawerence and Shawn Lawerence.
