John "Johnny" McGee, of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Monday, September 4, 2017 at Cox Medical
Center in Branson at the age of 77.
The son of Walter and Mary (Ellis) McGee was born May 2, 1940 at Caddo, Oklahoma. He was a veteran
of the US Army. John and Frances made Arkansas their permanent residence after traveling between
Memphis, Tennessee and Arkansas since 1999. He enjoyed old westerns and was always tinkering on
projects until his health no longer permitted. "Uncle Johnny" as he was known to most, was a hard
working and strong willed man of integrity. He loved to make people laugh and tell stories. John loved
the Lord and he loved his family very much.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Walter McGee and a sister, Judith Bacorn.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Sailors McGee of Harrison; a brother, Jerry McGee and wife, Susie
of Salinas, CA; a sister, Molly McGee of Boonville, AR; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Maplewood Cemetery with
Ken Tate officiating. Visitation is open at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison from
10AM-5PM on Wednesday.

Harrison, AR, 72601.
John's favorite motto was: "Don't cry for me, cry for the man that doesn't know Jesus".
