John F. Horn, age 76 of Everton, AR passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at Cox Medical Center South,in Springfield, MO. The son of James William and Minerva (Dickey) Horn, was born January 24, 1930 at Snowball, Arkansas. He was a lifetime resident of this area, and a farmer. His joy was his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and his many friends. He enjoyed his mules and fox hounds and did fox hunting quite often.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Edgar, Cecil and Roy Horn; two sisters, Cora Hensley and Alma McCutcheon.
His wife of 53 years, Barbara (Milam) Horn of the home survives him. Also surviving are his children, Geneva Morris and her husband, Larry of Harrison, Paul Horn and wife, Angie of Everton, Johnny, Billy, Stacy and Bobby Horn all of Everton; an adopted son, Jimmy Lane of Yellville; three sisters, Hazel Reddell of California, Joyce Reddell of Pea Ridge and Willie Jean Taylor of St. Joe; one brother, Walker Horn of Alpena; four grandchildren, Shane Hensley and wife, Denyse of Harrison, Cody Horn of Denison, Texas, Tyler and Micaela Horn of Everton; two great granddaughters, Haley and Taylor Hensley; step-grandchildren, Brad and Edith Morris of Belle Vista; two step-great grandchildren, Kevin and Kyle Morris.
Visitation was Friday, July 21. Services followed Saturday July 22, at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Rev. Charles Christian officiated. Burial was in Western Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Shane Hensley, Cody Horn, Tyler Horn, Randy McCutcheon, Lynn White, Glen Horn and Willie Horn, with Honorary Pallbearers, Delno Taylor, Armon McCutcheon, Orphas Reddell, Jim Massengale, Mark Phillips, Ron and Don Phillips, Jerry Swafford, Bruce Sharp, Claude Smith, Gene Horn, two very special great nieces, Lindsey Rogers and Sady White.
Memorials may be made to the Western Grove Cemetery Fund.
