Obituary
John Sherman Hensley, Jr., age 79 of Harrison, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at Select Specialty Nursing Home & Rehab in Springfield, Missouri.
The son of John Sherman Hensley, Sr. and Myrtle (Fortner) Hensley, he was born November 20, 1929 in St. Joe, Arkansas.
John had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a carpenter. He enjoyed horseback riding and watching western movies. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
His parents preceded him in death, along with his wife, Pauline Hensley; a son, Johnny Hensley; and a sister, Jean Martin.
Survivors are his son, Jim Hensley; a sister, Cathy McInturff; and a granddaughter, Sarah Hensley, all of Harrison.
Visitation was Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Coffman Funeral Home in Harrison. Service was Monday, September 21, 2009 at the funeral home chapel with Kenneth Cash officiating.
Burial followed in Bellefonte Cemetery with pallbearers being Brian Ramsey, Lee Ramsey, Travis Stephens, Mitchell Valentine, Keith Campbell and Danny Stephens.
Honorary pallbearers were Leroy McInturff, R.F. Stephens, and the staff of the Dialysis Clinic.
