Obituary

John Robert Hadley, age 71 of Yellville, AR, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2008 at his home.

The son of John Henry and Elizabeth (Robey) Hadley, he was born February 6, 1937 in Noblesville, IN.

John has lived in this area since 1984, moving from Maryland. He was a member of Cedar Grove United Methodist Church. He also was a Construction Engineer for the U.S. Navy Sea Bees, was on the board of the rural Pyatt Fire Department, a J.P. for the Blythe Township, the school bus driver for Bruno-Pyatt School, and had previously worked for Pace Industries and also Pyatt Post Office.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, William Hadley.

Survivors include his wife, Diane Hadley of the home; son, Jonathan Hadley of the home; daughters, Tia Hadley and Jessica Hadley, both of the home, Shelley Crombie and husband, Ben of Yellville, Sharon Morgan and husband, David of Sarasota, FL, Latricia Pawson and husband, David of El Paso, TX, and Shirley Thompson and husband, Jimmy of Diamond City; sister, Bettie Ballard of Sarasota, FL; and four grandchildren.

Visitation was held Sunday, May 18, 2008 at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church at George's Creek.

Memorial services will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, June 4, 2008 also at Cedar Grove United Methodist Church.

Family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Ozarks, 701 Burnett Drive, Mountain Home, AR 72653.
