John Albert Fondren, Jr., age 64 of Jasper, Arkansas passed away Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Harrison, Arkansas.
The son of John Albert and Mary Etta (Feltner) Fondren was born on September 30, 1950 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was a truck driver and had moved to Newton County in 1992 from Michigan. He loved fishing, driving semi trucks and was a HUGE John Wayne fan. He was the world's greatest dad and grandpa.
John was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Larry Gene Fondren.
Survivors are his wife Martina (Fields) Fondren; his children John Albert Fondren III, Christina Laxson and Jennifer Fondren; two brothers Wayne and Bryon Fondren; six sisters Virginia, Diane, Wanda, Lois, Betty and Terri; eight grandchildren Ashley Anderson, Carissa Breedlove, Nicholas Fondren, Hannah Lefever, Casey Folks, Gracie Folks, Gabby Folks and Autumn Fondren; two great-grandchildren Hadley Rae Anderson and Brandon Breedlove.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 26, 2015 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper with Rev. Raymond White officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Sherman Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Brian Folks, John Fondren, Kurt Anderson, Nicholas Fondren, Harvey Gash and Michael Stacey.
