John Collins, age 91 of Ben Hur, AR, passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2021 in Shirley, AR.

The son of John Mitchell Bruce Collins and Martha (Standridge) Collins was born January 19, 1930 in Ben Hur, AR.

He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons; and 10 brothers and sisters.

John was a member of the Ben Hur Baptist Church.  He was a hard worker and loved the Lord with all his heart.  He enjoyed being with his family and friends who he loved dearly.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Mike and Charlotte Nearn of Shirley, AR; his sisters, Blanche Hallowoa of Russellville, AR and Pauline Harmon and husband Clifford of Tilly, AR.; 8 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Coffman Funeral Home in Jasper, AR.

Funeral service will be 1:00PM, Thursday, June 10, 2021 at the Ben Hur Baptist Church in Ben Hur, AR. With Rev. Glendon Garrison officiating.  Burial will follow in Harrison Cemetery in Ben Hur.

Pallbearers will be John's nephews.
